The second of the Cynster Sisters duo is a delightful, delicious romance Laurens style: Filled with beloved characters from the Cynster series, it’s humorous, sensual, exciting and tinged with the gothic. What more can fans desire?

Mary is sure she’s found the perfect husband in Randolph Cavanaugh. Not only is he handsome and wealthy, he is calm, predictable and manageable — the complete opposite of his roguish brother, Ryder. As Marquess of Raventhorne, Ryder has been pursued by marriage-minded misses. But not Mary. She is a challenge that Ryder can’t resist. Convincing her that he’s given up his rakish ways is not easy. When a madman targets them, they discover the strength of their love and the entire family’s power to right any wrong. (AVON, Jul., 400 pp., $7.99)

Expected more

Based on the many books I've read written by this author, I expected more. Its the love scenes that make this book a chore to read, they are many and tediously long. I found myself skipping pages just to get past them. I have stopped reading at Chapter 12, I am no longer interested in the characters nor the story. Do not know if I will ever finish this book.
