TAMING THE WIND
Peterson continues her outstanding Land of the Lone Star series with well-written characters, some new, some old. The story flows well throughout the book, as the characters mature and learn to deal with problems instead of running away from them.
North Texas, 1868: Cassie Lowe comes to live with her sister to get over the death of her abusive husband and allow her scars and memory to fade. She is reunited with Tyler Atherton, someone from her past, but she keeps him at a distance. Tyler is dealing with pains from his own past, along with trying to regain his rightful inheritance. As they both struggle with their demons and the hardships of life on the Texas plains, they will need to trust God and allow His perfect plan to shine through. (BETHANY HOUSE, Sep., 336 pp., $14.99)
