by Catherine Coulter

Genre: Romantic Suspense, General Romantic Suspense

RT Rating

After breaking up a hostage situation
in his courtroom, Judge Ramsey Hunt became a hero. Soon, the constant media spotlight became a nightmare. With his temper close to erupting, Ramsey decides to get out of the media glare.

Ramseys newly acquired peace is
shattered when he discovers a beaten and abused little girl unconscious in the wilderness. He fears she has been abducted and molested. The child appears to be mute, and when two men try to kill them, Ramsey knows something strange is going on.

When the childs frantic mother appears and threatens to kill him for abducting little Emma, it is Emma who convinces Molly Santana that Ramsey saved her life.

Molly fears that somehow the abduction has ties either to her rock star ex-husband Louey Santana or her crime boss father Mason Lord. Whoever is behind it, its clear that Ramsey, Molly and Emma arent supposed to escape with their lives.

Catherine Coulter continues to deliver outstanding novels that vibrate with suspense and build powerful, emotional, romantic connections. FBI Agents Dillion Savich and Lacey Sherlock, from The Maze, make much-welcomed cameo appearances in this pulse-pounding tale of romantic suspense. (Sep., 384 pp., $7.50)
