A TASTE OF TEXAS (4.5) by Liz Talley: When restaurant owner, chef and author Rayne Rose goes home to turn her aunt’s bed and breakfast into a successful inn, the first person she sees is Brent Hamilton, whom she loved as a teen, but who was to scared to love her in return. Rayne wants nothing to do with him, but when Brent coaches her son, Henry, in baseball and begins doing carpentry work at the inn, the two are forced to spend time together. Soon they rekindle the romance of their youth. A Taste of Texas has a strong storyline, and its endearing characters make it a lively and captivating novel. Brent’s and Rayne’s insecurities only make them more likable.
