Working at Taylor Gallery, Lyrissa Rideau's current project has her researching the heirlooms of the wealthy St. Denis family. Noel St. Denis is CEO of the family company. When he sees Lyrissa, he is immediately taken, only to discover she won't fall at his feet as is customary with most women. She becomes a challenge he can't resist taking.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD has a vindictive admirer, a jealous cousin, differences in social status, and several controlling family members. While the romance was a little slow to get off the ground, the author really paves the way so that readers better understand the characters' feelings and actions.

Lyrissa was a stubborn heroine, yet Noel proved understanding and charming as he worked his way under her skindefinitely an enjoyable story. (May, 375 pp., $6.50)
