Jessica Nelson, a budding real estate agent and former cop, is determined to leave behind her "just one of the guys" reputation, regardless of what her family thinks. But when she's forced back into cop life and must go undercover with a man who drives her crazy, her determination wavers and she begins to question the true desires of her heart.

The last thing Connor Richmond, the new police officer in a small town, needs on his first undercover assignment is the chief's daughter getting in his way. But as time passes, she becomes his partner--in more ways than one.

Although the story is light, Kelley delivers a hot-and-heavy read. With its witty, laugh-out-loud dialogue and colorful characters, what this book lacks in plot, it makes up for in comedy and chemistry. (Oct., 304 pp., $14.00)
