The St. Croix Chronicles is a stunningly well-done series that only continues to excite in this fourth installment. Tempered has a slightly different tone than the rest of the series, offering up a fresh and necessary perspective on Cherry’s history. Cooper’s voice is dynamic and unique, transporting readers directly to a different place and a different time with her fully developed world. And the chilling, gothic atmosphere practically takes on a life of its own, giving the characters the perfect playground for mystery. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Cherry!
