THE TEMPTATION OF SAVANNAH O'NEILL (3) by Molly O’Keefe: Matt Woods is searching for Vanessa O’Neill, his father’s partner in a jewelry robbery. She got away free and clear while his father serves prison time. An architect, Matt meets Savannah, Vanessa’s daughter, when her grandmother, Margot, hires him to complete a gardening project. Unaware of his true reason for taking the job, Savannah falls for Matt despite her trust issues stemming from her mother’s abandonment. Then she learns that Matt has been deceiving her. While well written and populated with lively, quirky characters like Savannah’s precocious, card-playing preteen daughter and man-loving grandma Margot, this book seems a bit unfinished because the issue of the missing jewels and Savannah’s mother’s part in the robbery isn’t resolved.
