Whispers surround the disappearance of Lady Fiona’s ruthless husband, Will Jardine. Fiona has lost her memory after a vicious beating and knows nothing of Will’s leave-taking. Sir Richard Seyton, Laird of Kirkhill, has been charged as her guardian until Will is found. Unable to control her life or her lands, Fiona must place her trust in the border lord.

Kirkhill’s honor demands that he protect Fiona from her enemies. His problem is keeping her safe from his growing desire. While it quickly becomes obvious that Fiona’s life is in danger, unexpectedly, Kirkhill appears to be a target. While determining the identity of their foes they fall in love. The tumultuous climax brings answers to many questions and leads to Fiona and Kirkhill’s happiness. (FOREVER, Jul., 432 pp., $6.99)
