TEMPTING DANGER
by Eileen Wilks

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Shapeshifter, Werewolf

2004 Best Contemporary Paranormal Nominee

RT Rating

The minute San Diego homicide detective Lily Yu saw the werewolf-ravaged dead body, she knew they were in trouble. Rule Turner, the prince of the Nokolai clan and a highly visible member of the Lupi, is the most obvious suspect.

After a vicious attack on his pack leader father and now this attempt to frame him for murder, Rule decides it's time to discover who is targeting the Nokolai. Luckily, Lily also suspects a frame-up. What neither realize is that they are "chosen" mates.

How exciting that one of the best short stories from last year ("Only Human") has been revamped and expanded into a series. Wilks is a remarkable talent who has struck gold with this utterly intriguing and thrilling paranormal world. (Oct., 336 pp., $6.99)
