Ever since their parents married years ago, Tess Morrow and Jack Wright have done their level best to stay far away from one another. From their first meeting as teenagers, these step-siblings have rubbed each other the WRONG way. However, they both dearly love their respective parents, so when a concerned neighbor calls claiming that Steve and Brigitte Wright have disappeared, both Tess and Jack come running.

Steve and Brigitte live in the eccentric town of Paradise Beach, FL. Upon their arrival Tess and Jack must first call a truce before they can try to piece together clues to their parents whereabouts. Because of a strange message she received, Tess fears that Steve and Brigitte may be stuck in some foreign country. If they are ever to get to the bottom of this mystery, Tess and Jack are going to have to learn cooperation that is, if they dont kill each other first.
