The second book in Pearce’s Sinner’s Club series is another shocking, darkly erotic tale filled with power struggles and haunting secrets. The complexity will keep readers engaged until the final secret is revealed, and Pearce’s writing talent fills each of those scenes with surprising sensual details. Though the secrecy between the two leads seems excessive in places and the objectification of the hero may present a challenge to some readers, this is an inventive, enjoyable addition to an intriguing series.

Benedict, Lord Keyes, is a ruthless spy and a man of many secrets. When he is injured on his way to investigate an intruder on his property, Benedict finds himself unable to remember his own name, held at the mercy of a fascinating, fearless woman. Malina is determined to expose him using every tool in her alluring arsenal. But the past that these two share is a real, dangerous thing and before either can prepare, they are flung together in a hunt that will reveal every secret between them — and the truth that they have struggled so hard to keep hidden.
