THE TEXAN AND THE COWGIRL (4.5) by Victoria Chancellor: Cassie McMann is a California girl with an abiding interest in cowboys, so moving to Texas is a natural choice. Former rodeo star Charlie Yates has come home after a stab at Hollywood to figure out his life when he meets Cassie at a wedding and, within weeks, finds out he’s going to be a father. Though Cassie is marriage-resistant, she doesn’t want to upset her conservative family and winds up at the altar in time for their visit. What she’s not sure of is how Charlie really feels about settling down in this small town and giving up a possible movie career. Cassie and Charlie are perfect for each other and it won’t take long for readers to be rooting for the pair to clear up their misunderstandings and get to their perfect ending.
