Sally Gregg was a secretary, but when her boss, Vince Donnelly, suffered a mild heart attack, she was called on to keep an eye on the irascible businessman. Due to a difficult childhood, Donnelly keeps everyone at a distance and throws himself into building his company. But his illness has him noticing how pretty and warmhearted his secretary is. While Sally gently bullies him into obeying doctor's orders, Donnelly decides to add Sally to his own prescription for a good life. Peggy Moreland's The Texan's Business Proposition (4.5) is a wonderfully witty and well-written addition to the Piece of Texas series.
