TEXAS LOVE SONG (3) by AlTonya Washington: Setha Melendez and Khouri Ross have the burden of being the only daughter and the only son in families of four. While Setha is used to the men in her life wanting to protect her, Khouri has the propensity to shield every woman he meets from harm. The two gravitate toward each other but a person from their respective families’ past may stop their love from growing. While the ending of this novel leaves room for a sequel, readers may wish Washington had spent more time wrapping up the main storyline.
