Hurt by a breakup, social worker Sierra Mendoza seeks comfort from her friend, lawyer Alex Calloway, and he offers none. But when a client asks Sierra to baby-sit her infant and doesn't return, Alex is again the one she turns to. Soon, they're exploring their feelings for each other, and Sierra decides to keep the child. But Alex can't handle the idea without coming to terms with his own adoption. Stella Bagwell completes the Reunion trilogy with In a Texas Minute (3). Though the evolution of Sierra and Alex's friendship into love isn't entirely convincing, certain aspects of this story will likely tweak the emotions of some readers.
