Book Review

TEXAS RANGER
by Diana Palmer

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance

RT Rating

Texas ranger Marc Brannon is sent to investigate a murder that might have ties with the mafia. From the start he realizes that the case will have far reaching ramifications. The victim is a man convicted of a murder he claims he didnt commit. And Marcs former lover is prepared to hand a friend of Marcs over as the killer to save her friend. It was Marcs testimony that kept that from happening and that broke her heart.

Josette Langley had loved Marc completely, but he crushed her first when he walked out on her and then again when he had used private information to discredit her testimony in court. Despite the baggage in their past, the two are forced to work together to search for answers to the case.

Fans of Ms. Palmer will enjoy this exciting story, although some might find her heroine slightly outdated. (Aug., 384 pp., $6.99)
