A self-made millionaire, Josh Cantrell might appear to be a brash, hard-drinking Texan, but he's also President Theodore Roosevelt's trusted agent. As heir to the Earl of Hambleton, Josh can enter British society and investigate a plot the president believes the Russians are hatching.

He arrives on the London docks, promptly gets himself into a brawl and encounters his nemesis, Sabrina Edgewater. Desperate to earn the money she needs for her school. Sabrina agrees to teach Josh how to be a gentleman.

Sabrina is not the kind of woman Josh usually meets. She challenges him, and he loves teasing her into thinking he's far more rough around the edges than he really is. As Josh's mission draws them together and threatens them both, Josh and Sabrina learn they will risk anything to keep themselves and their newfound love alive.

Readers will truly enjoy the way the sparks fly between the tough Texan and the staid English lady. Henke incorporates witty dialogue and plenty of sexual tension into a suspenseful plot. SENSUAL (Oct., 380 pp., $5.99)
