After her best friend flakes out on her own wedding rehearsal, maid of honor Laurel McCabe assures the groom that she will stand in at the last minute if the bride is a no-show. There's an inheritance at stake, and Cade Dunnigan must be married at midnight to claim it. Cathy Gillen Thacker's reliance on a timeworn plot device makes for predictable reading at best, no matter how many cute puppies are thrown into the mix. For readers who crave consistency, A Texas Wedding Vow (2) won't disappoint.
