THESE TIES THAT BIND
THESE TIES THAT BIND (4) by Mary Sullivan: Returning to her hometown to take a job and be closer to family, single mom Sara Franck is at first determined to stay far away from Remington Caldwell, the father of her teenage son, Finn. But when she finally admits to Rem that Finn is his son, she realizes that Rem is no longer the irresponsible boy she once knew. He’s managed to turn his life around and become a vet, and is determined to shoulder his responsibilities. Sullivan does a particularly good job creating characters with depth through the use of her dialogue and description. Rem’s commitment shines through in everything he does, and Sara’s uncertainty rings true in her dealings with Rem.
