THICK AS THIEVES
by Jennifer McKinlay

Genre: Series, Harlequin Duets, Previously Published Series Imprints

RT Rating

Taking part in an exchange program is an opportunity for teacher Catherine Levery to declare her independence from her family. Intending to make the cross-country trip alone, Cat finds herself traveling with her brother's friend, rancher Jared McLean, instead. Along the way, Cat falls for Jared and gets past his emotional walls—but she wants to enjoy her hard-won freedom upon reaching their destination. Jared has other ideas. Jennifer McKinlay's THICK AS THIEVES (2) utilizes a familiar plot to comic effect, but the characterizations aren't strong enough to sustain the story.
