THREAT OF EXPOSURE (3) by Lynette Eason: Ranger Gisella Hernandez’s first meeting with DEA agent Brock Martin has her saving his life. Not expecting to like Brock, she’s a bit unnerved by the attraction she feels for him. Checking out Boot Hill, Texas, for leads on drug runners and, hopefully, information that will lead to the murderer of Gisella’s captain, it soon becomes apparent someone is not happy they are there. As the threats to their lives escalate, so does their attraction, but Brock refuses to give in to it; he’s unwilling to care for a woman who works in such a dangerous profession. A good addition to the Texas Ranger Justice series, Threat of Exposure has a bit of role reversal by the main characters. However, some inconsistencies detract from the story.
