Laura Marie Altom explores the difficulty of blending families in Three Boys and a Baby (3). Ella's twin boys and Jake's son have just found a baby girl in the park. As Jake and Ella bond over their horrible divorces, they're torn between exploring their burgeoning romance and pleasing their sons, who all resent the new relationship. Altom asks the difficult question as to where to draw the line between pleasing your child and pleasing yourself, but the baby subplot is woven inconsistently throughout the larger story.
