Librarian Tess Bucek has a wild imagination, and it's thrown into overdrive when she meets Connor Reed. Though she thinks he's a spy, Connor has actually come to town to refurbish a lighthouse and take care of his grandfather. When Tess agrees to help Connor, the chemistry is explosive, but he has a secret that might make Tess keep her distance. Though at times a bit meandering, Carrie Alexander's THREE LITTLE WORDS (3) has rich characters. In this second installment of her North Country Stories series, Alexander uses Scrabble contests as a cute way to develop Tess and Connor's romance.
