Book Review

THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT
by Veronica Rossi

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

A worthwhile sequel. Rossi’s second book avoids the interminable journeys that so often take place in bridge novels, and the action is non-stop without deteriorating into contrived conflict. Aria and Peregrine again trade chapters and voices as they weave around one another; sometimes together, more often torn apart, but without enough downtime to turn whiny. Favorite characters return, new characters emerge and fans of Under the Never Sky are in for a treat.

Aria’s back in Reverie, heartbroken. Her worst fears confirmed, she returns to the outside as the dwellers’ only hope. She must find the rumored Still Blue, before the human race is doomed. Perry has a similar goal in mind for the Tides, for whom he has taken over as blood lord. As their loyalties are tested, Aria and Perry must fight to survive.
