THROUGH THE SHERIFF'S EYES (4.5) by Janice Kay Johnson: Police Chief Ben Wheeler is determined to put Faith Russell’s abusive ex-husband, Rory Hardesty, behind bars. Unfortunately, no one knows where he is. Ben’s anger over his inability to find Hardesty is complicated by his feelings for Faith, and his determination to stay away from her because he believes his life as a cop has made him too rough for her. Luckily, Faith is far stronger than he thinks. This book features Johnson’s typically realistic characters and well-drawn plot. Ben and Faith’s feelings ring true. Readers won’t be disappointed.
