While the latest release in the Play-by-Play series has Burton’s hallmark quick wit and seamless writing, the characters lack the authenticity that we have come to know and love from this author. And longtime fans will be excited to meet characters destined to get their own stories.

After a stellar season, star pitcher Garrett Scott’s fast-track career tanked with an injury. Not taking it seriously has benched him — possibly permanently. A professional, sports therapist Alicia Riley tries to keep her mind on healing Garrett’s shoulder, but there are more things she wants to do with his body than just physical therapy!
