Wrongly convicted Chance Taylor has been released from prison. But before
he re-starts his life, he plans to fulfill a promise he made to a prison buddy -- to look out for the man's wife and daughter. Tanya Bolton is trying to rent a garage apartment for much-needed extra cash, so Chance moves in and is immediately drawn to her and her handicapped daughter, Crystal. Many romances deliver basic love-at-first sight plots, but nuance is key in Margaret Daley's Tidings of Joy (4). Chance and Tanya gradually discover friendship and love in a book that offers strong family values.
