TOMORROW GIRLS: BEHIND THE GATES
by Eva Gray

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

This is a great book that anyone can enjoy. It is the first in the Tomorrow Girls series and it creatively shows what the future may be like. Characters Louisa and Rosie are fun spirited and adventurous people who are able to do anything they set their minds to. Their friends, Evelyn and Maddie, are a little quieter than Louisa and Rosie, but they are very curious also. Together these four girls are not afraid to speak out and can survive anything. This is a book that you will want to read over and over.

When teen best friends Louisa and Maddie leave for Country Manor School — a boarding school where they will be protected from the ongoing war back at home in Chicago — they do not know what to expect. However, they are not prepared for trouble with roommates, no TV, no Internet, no contact with home and classes where they have to take notes with pens and paper instead of typing. But even with these problems, Louisa, Maddie and their roommates, Evelyn and Rosie, end up on a great journey. And along the way Louisa uncovers Country Manor’s biggest secret — and she must decide what to do about it. (SCHOLASTIC, May 2011, 240 pp., $6.99, ISBN: 0545317010, Age 10 & Up)
