RT Rating

The always awesome Krentz begins her Looking Glass Trilogy by giving fans just what they’ve been clamoring for — Fallon Jones’ story! Fallon has been an intriguing, if somewhat aggravating, presence throughout the Arcane series, so watching him get his romantic comeuppance is pure pleasure. This story has plenty of the patented Krentz combo of humor, sexy sizzle and jeopardy, ensuring readers get their money’s worth!

As the head of Jones & Jones paranormal investigations, Fallon puts his chaos theory talent to excellent use, but his reclusive and caustic nature has a tendency to irritate. He needs an assistant, but with him being based in the small town of Scargill Cove, the choices are limited, until Isabella Valdez comes to town. Isabella is a finder talent on the run after being framed for conspiring to sell para-weapons, she also fears that her grandmother was murdered. Coming from a family of conspiracy believers, Isabella has the magic touch when dealing with Fallon. When a routine case takes an ominous turn, they are in for a fight for their lives! This is an excellent story.

We finally get to see the complex man that is Fallon Jones.Yes, he is grumpy and inept socially but he is also handsome, protective, sexual and has a dry wit.

He has definitely met his match in Isabella Valdez. She is as doggedly determined as him but she does it with more panache.

I love watching them solve the mysteries that make up this story in addition the secondary characters add believability and color.
