TOO HOT TO TOUCH (3) by Julie Leto: Alex Aguilar, a red-hot art expert who inherits an auction house from his father, can’t keep his mind — or his eyes — off his new assistant, Lucienne Bonet. He doesn’t want to cross any ethical lines with one of his employees, though, so he fires her so that they can be together. Alex is one of the cheesiest romance heroes in ages, but Lucienne falls head over heels for his schtick. It turns out that she’s playing her own game: Lucienne is a thief after a valuable ring that belonged to Alex’s father. Leto’s story has an international flavor more akin to Harlequin Presents than Blaze, and the duplicitous behavior of Lucienne makes it difficult to identify with her.
