Emily Andrew is now the official tour escort for an Iowa senior-citizen travel group, which she accompanies to Ballybantry Castle in Ireland. Dealing with a difficult tour guide and a sullen and incompetent bus driver is annoying, but Emily has a pleasant distraction: handsome police detective Etienne Miceli, who surprises her on the tour and is ready for a rendezvous.

But Emily's ex-husband, Jack, is also on the tour, making matters awkward (but not in the way that you might think!). When two castle staff members are found dead, Emily fears that the rumors that the castle is haunted may be true. Once again, she tries to solve murders while keeping herself alive.

No sophomore jinx here—the second installment of Hunter's Passport to Peril series is very funny and full of suspense. Next stop: Italy. (Aug., 272 pp., $5.99)
