There is no shortage of multiple partners, fantasies and combinations in Carew’s latest romp. The only thing missing is a strong connection between any of the participants. It’s almost like sex scenes in search of a compelling plot. The story, which includes m/m, m/f/m and bondage, is readable but needs a little more depth.
Sandra is coming off a year of self-imposed celibacy, following her divorce. The question is how to get back into the dating/sex game. With encouragement from her best friend, Aimee, and Aimee’s two male friends, Sandra is thrown into a fantasy-filled adventure guaranteed to bring satisfaction. Also along for the ride is Sandra’s good friend, Devlin. Devlin has his own dreams of a future with Sandra and is willing to wait while she sows her wild oats, but he’s also positioning himself to be part of the fantasies that the two ladies have listed. He’s in love but he’s not crazy. Devlin doesn’t mind sharing Sandra. In the end, he just wants to be the last man standing. (ST. MARTIN’S GRIFFIN, Apr., 272 pp , $14.99)
