Book Review

by Dorothy Howell

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

The main character really makes this novel an entertaining one. Her fixation on solving the crime is parallel to her need to look fashionable while maintaining the kind of lifestyle she's always dreamed of. The storyline is believable and is not drawn out. Readers will enjoy the quirkiness of the main character and her propensity for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Haley Randolph is on a mission to better herself through eating healthier and establishing goals. This positive thinking leads her to a new job with great benefits and more money. But when she discovers a dead body on her first day, something Randolph is familiar with, her job and her new life are put in jeopardy. (KENSINGTON, Jun., 304 pp., $23.00)
