TOUCH
by Jus Accardo

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

Accardo’s debut, first in the Denazen series, is infused with pulse-pounding action, attitude, charm, romance, suspense and enough witty dialogue to crown it one of the best YA novels of the year.

When a young man plummets down a river embankment and lands at her feet, 17-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross grabs the chance to infuriate her father by bringing him home.

Kale is a bit eccentric. He acts as if she will evaporate if he touches her. Then Dez’s father appears, brandishing a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should. It seems Kale has been held captive by Denazen, an organization dedicated to compiling “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons. The reason Kale is a bit reluctant to touch Dez? His touch kills. The two join forces with a team of rogue Sixes on a mission to take down Denazen. (ENTANGLED, Nov. 2011, 262 pp., $14.99, ISBN: 9781937044459, PB, 12 & Up)
