TOUCH ME (3) by Jacquie D'Alessandro: Simon, Viscount Kilburn, works as a spy for the Crown. But in 1820, he's a suspected murderer. An earl thought to be in line to become the next prime minister has been killed, and Simon is found standing over the body. To clear his name, he tries to find Genevieve, the earl's former mistress, and a box with information that will reveal the murderer. Soon Simon is in love with Genevieve, and the murderer is also looking for the box. This enjoyable historical has sensual scenes and a romantic background. But too much of the story is told rather than shown, a result, no doubt, of the increasing shortness of the books. Another 20 pages would have added to the enjoyment.
