TRACES OF DREAMS follows the life of Alicia, starting when she's a girl in 1914, and travels through to Sara's life in 1993. A fascinating story worthy of your joy and tears, it also tells of loss, death, rape, wife abuse, children with special needs, and adultery. Painful in some places, this is a story to read when you desire a narrative with a very serious bent and no laughter.

Nineteen-year-old Alicia Martin has plenty of dreams. However, living in 1914, her reality is anchored all too firmly in the ground. She experiences love and loss, has children and a life that includes joy as well as sorrow. After surviving two World Wars, Alicia watches as her daughter Sara follows in her same footsteps. Unfortunately, the choices Sara makes can sometimes
bring about more pain than anything else.
