Book Review

THE TRANSFORMATION OF THINGS
by Jillian Cantor

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

The premise of this book is unique and sure to keep the attention of any reader. The language is at times mechanical, but it somehow fits the unstable relationships the main character has with everyone in her life, including herself.

Jen is shocked to learn that her husband, a judge, is being indicted on bribery charges. The news leads to a series of events that have Jen drifting in and out of reality and a dream world where she learns the most intimate thoughts of those closest to her. The two worlds interconnect and she must decide what kind of world she wants for herself. (AVON A, Nov., 304 pp., $13.99)
