A TRAP SO TENDER (2) by Jennifer Lewis: Fiona Lam plans to get her father’s company back from the man who stole it, even if it means seducing him. Singapore-based investor James Drummond knows that doing business in the East would be simpler if he had a wife, so he invites Fiona to his castle in Scotland. Fiona must maintain a balance between falling for the surprisingly sweet and passionate James and helping her father, but when she agrees to a convenient engagement, things start to veer out of control. There’s not a lot to like about either character and readers are going to have problems feeling any empathy with Fiona’s quest since there isn’t enough background to flesh out the tale. Unfortunately, James is no better — both calculating and detached.
