Book Review

by Rob Thurman

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

The Trickster series is another strong offering from the author of the Cal Leandros books. Thurman is adept at creating fresh characters, and snarky heroine Trixa's first-person exploits in Vegas have distinctive details that leave a lasting impression. Fans and new readers will be clamoring for more.

Trixa Iktomi runs a bar in
Las Vegas, and in her spare time,
hunts demons with two young men she befriended back when they were hungry and homeless boys. But even Griffin and Zeke don't know what she's really after: the demon who killed her brother.

If Trixa can get her hands on the Light of Life, it will make her job that much easier. The powerful artifact is said to be an impenetrable shield that offers ultimate protection, but one very sexy demon is also after it -- and Trixa too. (ROC, Sep., 352 pp., $7.99)
