by Mary Connealy

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

Connealy spins a Civil War-era romance with book one of the Wild at Heart series. Her feisty female characters win our hearts and give us another view on family relationships. The readers of this series will be taken to the rugged Rockies where a woman’s place is debatable. Fans who enjoy stories of the western expansion of the United States won’t want to miss this series.

The homesteaders of Aspen Ridge are seeking to claim their part of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The Wilde family stakes four claims, but then they are called into question by land agent Aaron Masterson. The Coulter Ranch likes to run its cattle up onto these claims, so this causes quite a bit of friction. Mysterious attacks on the Wilde family’s youngest homesteader start an intense investigation into the clues that are left behind near the cabin. Will the land agent suspect that something illegal is going on with the Wilde family’s settlement? Does Aaron sincerely want to protect Kylie’s claim or is something else amiss?
