Book Review

by Kristin Billerbeck

Genre: Inspirational, Chick Lit

RT Rating

Billerbeck has a gift for incorporating biblical truth into funny and poignant chick lit. An excellent message about the judgment of others will ring true with readers. Haley's situation is one that not many will be able to directly relate to, but her personality is quite endearing and likable.

After being married to a Hollywood producer for seven years, Haley Cutler is dumped for her husband's newest young starlet. Out of her comfort zone, Haley has no idea how she will get along in the world now that her ritzy friends have turned their backs on her as well. Via her lawyer and
a local church, she is introduced to
a group of women aptly named The Trophy Wives Club because they've been through the same thing as Haley. These new friends help her to see the potential in herself and her future. (AVON INSPIRE, Sep., 272 pp., $12.95)
