TROUBLE DOWN THE ROAD
Genre: Mainstream, Multicultural
For readers who’ve read Griffin’s previous books, this is just a continuation of the drama and insecurities that exist in mixed families. Griffin does a good job of getting new readers up to speed and revealing the inner emotions that go along with second marriages. While well written, those who’ve read the previous books may find themselves hoping for the drama to end and for the characters to live happily ever after.
Suzanne and Bradley are still married, but family issues threaten the security she thought she had. In addition to balancing the drama of a lazy brother, greedy mother and conniving sister, Suzanne sees competition in a younger and more-educated woman who has her eyes on Bradley.
