Launching her new Ghost-in-Law mystery series, DeLeon brings her spunky style to a novel that's plenty of fun to read. The characters are easy to identify with and demonstrate their multifaceted personalities in their actions and words. DeLeon is excellent at weaving comedy, suspense and spicy romance into one compelling story.

Maryse Robicheaux is somewhat relieved at the recent death of her mother-in-law, Helena, until her ghost seems to have unfinished business that only Maryse can help her with. The timing of this new challenge couldn't be worse, since she's on the verge of a medical breakthrough, searching for her husband who refuses to divorce her and sharing her office with sexy zoologist Luc LeJuene, whose appearance seems to have made her a target for a stalker. Maryse must be careful who she trusts. (LOVE SPELL, Feb., 336 pp., $6.99)
