TROUBLE IN TEXAS
This trip to Bramble, Texas, brings a close to the mystery of Cate’s Curse with humor, romance, heart-warming affection and some mighty intriguing characters. Readers are in store for some fine surprises and a glimpse at stories yet to be told.
Brant Cates is in Bramble, Texas, investigating an old family curse related to his great-great grandfather’s death, which is how he ends up at Miss Hattie’s Henhouse. This gets him shot (accidentally) and cuffed to a bed (on purpose). Librarian Elizabeth Murphy, now the owner of Miss Hattie’s and caretaker of the three old women (and former hens) still living there, is not pleased when she discovers what they have done. Though Brant can forgive the hens, he finds himself less willing to forgive Elizabeth. As he delves into the mystery of where and when his great-great grandfather died, he can’t help but fall for her. (FOREVER, Dec., 384 pp., $7.99)
