This endearing companion to The Matchmaker reintroduces us to Sarah Palmer, a born troublemaker and the bane of her familys existence. When her elopement plans are ruined, Sarah is sent to visit her half-sister, Olivia, in remote Scotland.

Marshall MacDougal has come to Scotland for revenge against his father, who abandoned his mother and married another woman. But when Sarah learns that Olivia, who has gone away to Glasgow, is the object of Marshalls vengeance, she throws caution to the wind and will do whatever she must to protect her family. She just never expects love to be her greatest weapon.

Strong characters, deep emotions and a well-drawn backdrop enhance this well-crafted and highly entertaining tale. But it is Ms. Becnels gift for searching her characters hearts and souls that brings her romances
to a new level and earns her readers admiration. SENSUAL (Nov., 293 pp., $6.50)
