True Confessions of the Stratford Park PTA (4.5) by Nancy Robards Thompson is a wonderfully moving and heartwarming story of three women and their families who live in the same upscale neighborhood. Maggie Woodall brings her daughter to Florida to live in Villa Magnolia, the family home where her Aunt Barbara now lives. Maggie's been widowed for a year and is still depressed. Barbara has a cheating husband, a Down syndrome daughter and family secrets. Across the street, Elizabeth lives with her husband and daughter. She's pregnant, and her perfectly planned life is slipping away. Written with the voices of all three women perfectly realized and different, the stories wind around each other as secrets are revealed and lives played out and changed. Drama and humor make this book hard to put down.
