TRUTH OR DEMON
This amusing but lightweight story is a good antidote to a blustery late winter day. Two unlikely characters — a playful, humorous demon and a serious, responsible technical manual editor —heat up the pages with explosive sex and true chemistry.
Using a spell they find in a book, three teenage girls summon a demon. Yanked out of his bachelor pad in hell, Killian must do as the girls bid him: find a boyfriend for Daisy’s older sister Poppy. Things get off to a rough start when the girls are stumped for an explanation of who Killian is (they say he’s a paranormal researcher from Sweden). Poppy is enlisted to show him around town and Killian soon finds that Poppy is a wonderful person who he wants to make happy. And then, Killian realizes that he wants Poppy for himself. Along the way, he helps Poppy get over an old love and to remember her dream of writing and illustrating children’s books. (BRAVA, Mar., 352 pp., $14.00)
