TURN UP THE HEAT (4.5) by Isabel Sharpe: Candy Graham is a struggling event planner hung up on her ex-boyfriend. She decides to give her friend’s dating website a whirl, creating four different profiles for the different parts of her personality. This attracts the attention of Justin Case, a journalist who believes that Candy’s four profiles are part of a scam. Candy and Justin’s budding romance heats up the snowy Midwestern setting. While the puns in their names are groaners, this novel isn’t. Turn Up the Heat is heartfelt and laugh-out-loud funny, and just begs to be made into a romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet.
