TWENTY-NINE AND A HALF REASONS
Genre: Romantic Suspense, General Romantic Suspense
Readers will enjoy this lighthearted romantic suspense novel with a dash of comedy. The characters are memorable, the pace is fast and the dialogue is witty. It’s best to read the Rose Gardner Mystery series in order, but there’s enough background to bring new readers up to speed.
Rose Gardner is grateful for the jury duty summons that keeps her from her job at the DMV — until she’s picked to serve on a murder trial after a disastrous encounter with both the defense attorney and the prosecutor. As the trial progresses, Rose experiences a psychic vision in the courthouse restroom that points to the defendant’s innocence. Rose doesn’t know how she will find time to make sure justice is served while already juggling family commitments with her long-distance relationship with Arkansas state detective Joe Simmons.
